the guy sctually started working on it 5 or so days ago here is the progress so far...he said it should be done in another week or so...the mirrors are getting painted black as well as the middle of the grill and around the headlights...all clear lights for the front and nice tail lights from "stangbeater" ....

i will post more pics as the progress continues thanks everyone who i got parts from you will see them in use shortly...soon i will have something thats actually worth calling a Typhoon :tup:

Are they going to remove the rest of the cladding?

I would not let them repaint around it.

yeah i am having them take the quarter glass out b4 paint all the cladding will be taken off as well 300 extra to have the glass taken out and put back in with new gm seals but no point of painting it w/o doin so...

Kewl, you got it covered.

You should have them fill/shave the body welds (B&C pillars), tailgate lock and the antenna hole too while you're at it.
I'd lose the luggage rack as well, this ain't no station wagon...

Looks like it's gonna work out just fine though.

isnt insurance covering the rear hit? if so they should be paying to remove the glass

yeah i am going to have to talk to him about the roof rack not sure what i want to do with that yet...im goin to leave the tailgate lock...but with the fender i put a new one on and it didnt come with the hole already drilled in it so i got that covered...but i dont know what to do about radio ceception cause its not too good as of now my antenna is rattleing around under my hood haha
.. by body welds you mean that line that is behind the rear quarter glass?

yeah they are paying they gave me almost 5 grand...for the rear to replace everything...but im getting the whole thing painted so he told me to get all the parts and then he would paint it, he helped me out with the insurance guy and the insurance guy was nice so he worked with him well and told my body guy that he wanted to see the truck in good shape again so he hooked it up...

stock 245-50-16 im taking the tires off the "fugly" rims and putting them on the stockers when i get it back from paint

I shaved my antenna and then stuck it in the fender, it doesn't rattle and still gets reception, my buddy did the same in his suburban so you shouldn't have any problems, just make sure its grounded good.

As for the body welds I cant see any difference between yours and the other Ty pics so I'm not sure what you are talking about?
