After fluid/filter change tranny slipping

I had some TC shutter so i added some lubeguard and it went away. so i thought that maybe i should change the fluid and filter and lubeguard and since I changed my tranny fluid and filter over the weekend and and added the 6 quarts back in it looked over full so i took 2 quarts beck out and then it looked good but it was slipping in 2nd and when i checked it there was alot of bubbles so i thought that maybe there wasn't enough fluid so i added the 2 quarts back and it drove perfect. but now it is showing it's too full. but running good and no slipping. Then looking thru the forums i seen that bubbles are caused from being over filled. So if my tranny is too full will it cause it to slip also? Is my tranny really ready for a Blake rebuild now? I don't really know anything about trannys or what to do next so any help would be appreciated.

Yep, foam is a direct result of having too much fluid in there. It is bad because of what is inside the foam. It is made up of lots of little bubbles and what's inside a bubble? AIR. If you have A LOT of foam in there, you are essentially driving your truck like it has little or no ATF in there...

Yup. When doing the trans fluid change, refill with roughly what came out of the pan (about 3-4 quarts), then start it and check it. If its looking ok, gear-run it a few times, then slowly add more fluid. Another gear-run, and repeat until it appears to be about 1/2-1 quart low. If it's not slipping, drive it to heat up the trans, and recheck with it idling on a flat surface. Fluid should be in the full area. Key is to not add too much too fast.

alright i pulled out the extra fluid and it appears to be done. It's not moving in any gear and not reverse. It looks like i will have to have it rebuilt. Which is the way i was leaning before i finished it off. Just thought it was worth a try.
