Wow! That's quite the move!

There's a few trucks in AK. I'm sure they'll come out of hiding on the forums

Re: Alaska Owners

Present! There are around 35 trucks in the Anchorage area. Most don't get out though. We're considered Western in the Regional Forums. Welcome to Alaska!

Re: Alaska Owners

Wow............. I didn't think there were that many (is that a city record?). Mine should be here in a couple of weeks. We just bought a house in Palmer. I'm guessing it summer time driving only? Though they are great in the snow.

Re: Alaska Owners

I think we have the most per-capita of anywhere actually. There are a few trucks around here that get driven year-round (3 or 4 Syclones and 2 or 3 Typhoons that I can think of). They don't use salt on the roads here, so it's not as bad for the trucks as some other places. My truck is registered seasonally, so it's not allowed on the road from November through March, but it's taken apart right now anyway. If you're in Palmer you'll be close to the dragstrip. That may come in handy if you race your truck.

Welcome to Alaska!! I live in Anchorage and own Syclone #2227. It's not running at the moment but hopefully before summer is over. Timbo and Akryder86 are helping me put it back together. Mine is registered for use year round. Hope to meet you sometime and again, welcome!

II spent 2 months TDY up there for Cope Thunder in 97. We spent most of our leisure time at the Refinery, Detours, Captain Bartletts Inn, and even hit the Howling Dog in Fox on my 21st birthday. And we got banned form Denny's. :rotf: Which of course is the northern most Denny's in the world!!!

Re: Alaska Owners

OP, what in the hell would make you want to move to Alaska of all places? Are there actually job opportunities up there in No Mans Land? Just curious...Doesn't seem like a place to move forward but I could be wrong?

Would like to temps over 70, but i've heard summer is over.........
