ALDL Data Cable options

I think the connecting problem is due to the Moates aldl/usb cable.
Mark and I spoke on the phone..He walked me threw the setup procedure.
We found that the packet errors were not climbing. Why I dint know.
The only ports on my lap top are USB and pcmcia slots. There is one comport but it
is for monitor(vga) out
Craig even offered to check it so I sent it to him....everything checked ok!
What other usb cables are proven to work.

Re: ALDL Data Cable options

Thats the whole reason I bought the Autoprom. I was having so many problems with USB to serial adapters and such that I just broke down and boought the Autoprom. After many frustrating days and nights- its the best tuning money Ive ever spent.

Thanks Daron,
Anyone had tested sucess with it?

FWIW, my computer is a Dell Latitude, and I used the drivers that came with the cable. Tuner-pro found the cable and connected without fuss. Pretty cool deal. I doubt you will find others here who have used this same cable, as I asked around. After a few negative replys I decided to go out on a limb and try it.
Take care,
Daron

Just oredered one.If it works I'm selling my Moates usb/aldl cable, anyone want it?

Let me know when you get your cable working. I just took the cd that came with it, popped it in my computer and connected the cable. When XP recognized the cable and asked for a driver I just pointed it to the CD. Instructions that come with it are pretty good too.
