Alignment tomorrow

It's not a jimmy!!!!
I have been continually unhappy with the alignment on my Typhoon, so I am taking it to a GM dealership that did a good job on my Tahoe in the hopes someone will do it correctly. I looked on www.sportsmachines.com and they mention the stock alignment specs and a highly recommended different spec setup. The setups appear to be vastly different. Have these been discussed or is there a preference that has been agreed upon by the community? No luck when i searched. Thanks.

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Why are you unhappy with it? That may help narrow down where the problem lies. It pulls, wanders, tire wear, ect.

What condition are your shocks, tires, air pressure, front parts? Amazingly all this stuff makes a big difference.

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Tires are practically brand new. Air pressure checks out. Shocks are on the list for replacement as they are stock. No major leakage in shocks yet but small issues noted and logged. Front suspension should be in good shape as major work was done to it a few years ago. Nothing noted when I was underneath there. I just got the truck back on the road after having on jackstands for most of the summer. After the last alignment it pulled to the driver side and they said it was aligned correectly and it was because of the tire size. It pulls left no matter what the layout of the road. I am not convinced.

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Make sure your tires are mounted to the rims correctly and balanced correctly on a Hunter GSP9700 machine with the Straight Trak LFM. It will find the pull
Go to www.gsp9700.com to find a place near you

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Try swapping the front tires side to side, then atleast you can then for sure rule the tires out as not causing it to have a radial push or pull.

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Excellent recommendations. It was largely due to radial pull. I swapped tires from front to back and it is much better. Now I can move on to the USB to datamaster pissing me off problem!

Re: Alignment tomorrow

Please tell me you swapped the tires and not the wheels :rotf:
Glad you got it figured out, if the tires are still newer ( first 25% of tread all tire manufactures will cover that as a manufacturing defect ) you should look at taking that one if still new enough or more back because eventually you will have to rotate them again.
