alt and ac brackets

I was going to get the brackets powdercoated but the cost is too high. 175 for both brackets is just to much just to have them look good.

Has anyone painted or done something to them so they look decent?? If I just clean them how would they look. Pics please. Thanks.

how should I prep them?? I found a cheaper place. Only 120$ or so. They will blast them and coat them.

no need to prep them unless you want to glass bead them if not i will glass bead them when i recieve them and drop them off with william.. he'll have them ready that afternoon or the next morning.

Thanks. That will work. I will degrease them as best I can. When you get them you can decide if anything else needs to be done. I will ship out tomorow or wednesday. LMK how to pay. BTW is black the only color you can do?? Thanks.

about any color you want. the highly metallic powder will be slightly higher.but most of your base colors will be the same.


by the way...go ahead and take the ac compressor and alt bushings out of the brackets.

what I want it about the same color as your waterpump. Looks like an edelbrock. Thats what I have and my waterpump and lower intake are the same color. I think it would look good to match the brackets with them. I did pop off all the bushings and took off the tensioner. I will pay more to get the look I want. Never seen a clear one. How does that look. Prices around here are outragous. The best deal I found to do my driveshafts were 280 to do both. More if I want new joints. To do the brackets he wanted 180 and I had to scrub them clean first.

keep in mind i'm not making profit here just helping a fellow member out. i guess the guys around your neck of the woods likes a nice profit margin.

i will pull up some old pics of the clear ones and i think if you glass bead them then clear them it will be pretty close to the water pump... ken is this correct??? does my memory serve me correctly?

Mine were glass beaded, tumble polished (to remove burs no to make shiney) the semi gloss clear looks just like factory but shineyer (is that even a word?)

I am confused.(easy to do these days) You said you have a set of clear already done for sale?? so If I send you mine and a $$$ we will swap, or will you do mine. Or I can buy yours outright and save mine.
