Has anyone considered these gm blocks for a build up?
or is this something that would end up costing too much?
or what about the 2nd one on the page

DESCRIPTION: CASE ASM 350 ci main size aluminum racing bare block.Improved new design 90 degree V-6 a 336 aluminum racing block with 3.980" bores (maximum bore of 4.125"). Block will accomodate 4.00" stroke and can be built in displacements ranging from 3.0 liter to 5.2 liter Deck surface is 0.620" thick, with reinforced front and rear bulkheads. Head bolt main caps are machined from 4340 chrome-moly steel. Block has an upgraded V-8 style oiling system. It uses a two piece rear main seal.

To keep things going in this thread. I've been wondering how many dry sump syty's there are out there? And have they used aftermarket blocks, or the stock ones?

Second question would be; Whats better in the long run. The block above, or a bowtie? They are both around the same price, are they not?

And have fun with the second block and that two piece rear main seal.:D

I believe the aluminum block above only weighs 80ish pounds. thats alot of weight savings right there...
