I stopped in at Marty's this afternoon to pick up a load of parts that I bought and he threw in the aluminum rear support for an extra $200. Weights a fraction of the steel ones. What a guy!

Thanks Marty!

John

I was kidding...I saw the rear support and we talked about. The problem is that it was soooo light that I would have to take another vehicle back to pick it up. My Denali was just to much truck to haul such a super ultra light piece. I was also concern that it was soooo light that the back of my Ty may "float" to much and cause it to become nose heavy.

Re: Aluminum Rear Bumper Support

My wife backed the Ty into a light post at my son's day care.
Needed a new rear support.....Bought one from Merk....Aluminum.
It wasn't near as sturdy as the steel one that came off the truck but it doesn't weigh anything. And wife doesn't drive the Ty anymore. She saw two light posts and went for the BIG area in between. Hit the post dead center.
