Another MAP sensor question!

I've had my Sy for 3 months now and still can't determine which MAP sensor I have, 2 or 3 bar. When I got the truck it already had the Ultimate which would lead me to think that the guy that had it before me would have installed a 3 bar. 749 9171 are the only numbers that I see on this freaking thing and from what I've read it matches neither the 2 or 3 bar part number. Does anyone have a sure way for me to determine what I have? Also does the stock plug fit a 3 bar? BTW I have searched for the answers to this for quite some time with no luck. Thanks!

God bless,
James

Turn the key on but don't start the truck. Does the stock boost gauge read 0? The boost gauge is calibrated for a 2-bar sensor. If it reads 0, you have a 2-bar sensor. If it's below 0, and you have to get into the boost (measured on a mechanical gauge hooked to the intake) for the stock gauge to show 0, then you have a 3-bar sensor.

Note that the chip is calibrated for the sensor. If you use a 3-bar chip with a 2-bar sensor (or vice versa), the ECM will be seeing the same incorrect numbers as your stock boost gauge is showing. If your truck is running right, then you almost certainly have the 3-bar sensor to match your 3-bar chip.

From everything I've read here, the two MAP sensors seem to be identical in appearance, other than the color of the connector, and I think that might vary too.
