Hey all,

I've been getting a lot of PM's about DM cables and I've seen some other posts. I feel bad not being able to get these for people when they're all being recommended by other people to ask me.

I will go ahead and make another batch of cables if I can get at least 5 people interested. I'll PM the people back who have mentioned it so far.

The price is $46 shipped per cable, and it comes with a 3' serial cable if requested.

Update: I have gone and ordered all the parts for 20 cables. Will have these built by mid next week unless shipping problems arise. I will PM when cables are available. Thank you everyone for the interest.

The price is right!! Why is this cable needed? Connects ? to ? I plan to purchase a cheap laptop and DM very soon. So I am very interested just a little dumb.

This cable is needed to connect your datamaster equiped laptop to your aldl port under your dash so your Datamaster software can understand what's going on. The price is $100 just for this very same cable from the company here's the info

Yeah, this is why I started selling them as it was much cheaper for me to make them than to go out and buy one. I had a lot of requests initially after I built my own and ended up making them for about 4-5 dozen people so far.

They may not be as pretty as the others, but they do the job quite well. The boards are professionally manufactured, and assembled by me. I don't outsource or anything like that. So if you have a problem with one, I am able to help you out either by phone, email, or on the boards here. I personally test them on my truck to make sure they run DM.

So if you're interested...just say the word. I'll set one aside for you. :)

Any laptop with a 9 pin serial port will work. Otherwise you'll need a USB-Serial adatper. The belkin is the most popular. I was able to pick one up off of Ebay for about $5. I do not sell these yet. I DO currently have boards that I'm designing (on 3rd revision now) for surface mount and USB capable, but these are still months out at my rate. ;)
