:lol: i need to get a fender for marty to hack away on, and hes gonna look at the inner wheel well to make sure we can get the fender mod %100 functional. if we cant i might just shave the body line. but the fender mod needs the body line so it dosent look weird.
im waiting to make sure the check clears too, so the beginning of 2004 is when the doo doo hits the fan

:lol: everyone knows the crappy proto-type is the %100 functional one. the shine decreases the functionality. and i dont care if functionality isnt a real word.
I think i am going to do the shaved handles. the 2nd gens look better than 1st gens, but i still think that none look better. if bandimere wont let me race. then "oh, darn." its not a track demon anyway. ive yet to have a good track day and ive blown a couple hunder bucks trying. so if they wont let me give them my money, then i wont. that or i'll throw some junk doors on it for track day!! yeeeeee haw! :lol:

I like the shaved look but wouldn't want to deal with winter frozen-ness.
I say go 2nd Gen and not deal with any random implications like winter and tracks...
But then again I'm lazy.
I'd end up with stockers...
Let me know how the fender mod works out would love one on the pass side and shove a K&N down in there.

well marty and i have been racking out brains trying to figgure out how to make it work. i may end up not doing a fender mod just because it could get too complicated.
if it froze int the winter i could just get a little spray bottle filled with de-icer and spray arround the weather stripping. id probably have to de-ice the windows anyway so its nto a huge deal. 8)

i'm thinking we may need a serious wrenching day soon. i'm going to try and buy a new pass side exhaust manifold (finally, if i can afford it) and while doing that, I'd like to do soft IC lines as well. maybe even some other stuff.

Speaking of buying a sy... I really wish I could have bought that 92 sy that sold today I have a third engine block that would be ready to drop in after a few weeks. I guess I will just have to save my tax refund and watch for another turbo box. Maybe even a buick Wait what the hell am I saying... I already have six cars and three are sitting in garages without engines....

I just need to get the rotating assy balanced this week and then I will be reassembling the engine and then reinstalling sometime in the next two weeks. Then there will be another white grey on the road in Denver. The Sy will be later this spring but it is close as well. I am just working on the fuel delivery system since I think it will be fed a steady diet of 100 or greater octane thru the 75#ers.

the replacement cladding and hood got here yesterday. if i had a white ty id just bolt the hood on. the damn thing looks finished! im psyched about the hood because i think it will make a huge improvement in the trucks looks. not to mention let alot of air in. and once marty completes his airbox for it... :evilbat:
anyway im getting the fiberglass front from Paul's Select. im going to overnight a MO to him tomorrow, and he said the one that is near completion will be on its way to me. he also said it only takes about 2 days to ship via greyhound. so that should be here next week ish. and then i just need to get a fender, which i can probably do next Sat.
i'll probably bang out the support and sell the front bumper/support on here. i think it will still be very useable, although not perfect. a body shop would be able to make it look like new though. and my busted cladding will be going to Smaug as soon as i find out how much he wants to give me for it

As for hijacking the the thread it seems to be what the MHST crew does the best.
You can come over and bolt that hood on my Ty... just for testing how good it fits of course... :drinking:
At least that way I could have a picture of my Ty looking good even though it is stuck in my garage...
