ty would barely move after stopping. would have to rev the hell out of it to get it to move. parked it for a couple of weeks and would try it every now and then but no go. it wouldn't move at all. took the governor out, cleaned it, got the valve moving. tried to move it in reverse - moved no problem. put it in drive- moved no problem. shut the ty off . 5 minutes later went to take it on a test drive- would not move - forward nor backward. tried it again in another 5 minutes- it moved backward- it moved forward- then would not move. thinking about pulling the valvebody out to clean it. is this a waste of time. is this trans shot. any ideas.

Grenaded sprag. Time for a rebuild!

Do a 4L80 if you have the money and plan on running low 12s or faster.

pulled trans pan today. did not want to give up yet. filter had come loose. was still in the hole but on an angle. put new filter in and fluid. drove truck total of about 15 miles. so far so good. was about ready to take the truck off the road... play money alittle tight.... recently bought new trans for the T-TYPE.
