Dont buy from Detroit Turbo. They have really bad communication and customer service. They take forever to ship.
Keith,
The order you placed on July 1st, shipped in 1 or 2 days but was returned to sender because it was the wrong address. It looks like you entered your billing address as the shipping address when you placed the order on July 1st. USPS sent it back stating the forward time had expired.
As for calling, I looked at the calls I missed for your number and there were 3 within a couple hours of each other, and only one of which was just a message stating your name and to give you a call. I need to change our message to ask for more detail, something to the effect of:
This is DT, you reached us at a busy time and in order to serve you better please leave your name, order #, phone number, and a detailed message of how we can help you.
The other thing I should really encourage is that I can't always take calls and its much better to simply email me. I get about 100+ emails/day so I try to keep up with them or I just get buried.
As for the TTS thing, its a product that I carry because it fits with the other tuning stuff I sell and its actually a very important item to get for these trucks and I want people to be able to buy it. What I don't want is the hours upon hours of time spent dealing with the codes that I make $15 on. I am glad you mentioned how easy it was to get your code by calling TTS because I would rather see people get their code right away. I may just provide a link or a phone number upon ordering a cable that gives instructions on ordering a code. I was on the phone with a customer yesterday for about an hour because he can't get datamaster working with Vista and may want to send it back for a refund because TTS even told him it may not work.
So, I appreciate those people who said positive things about my business and I'm very glad to have given some of you good service. I also am thankful when I hear about a bad experience because it helps to figure out what things need to change to avoid the situation from happening again.
I need to be much clearer about item availability and unfortunately the inventory system on our site never matched what was on the shelf so we didn't use it. We were trying to be a one-stop shop but it just seems to be so difficult to manage the inventory so we have been slowly taking things off the catalog and focusing more on turbochargers and parts directly related to that.
Hope that in the future as we expand the business with our media site the level of customer service will continue to improve.
To answer the original post, yes we are a dealer for TiAL and we are also trying something which people may find helpful in deciding if they like the product:

Matt,
Just avoid the hassle and get a JGS from Race Part Solutions in Boca (561-375-6277). They're local and they'll get it for you ASAP. Tell John or Darin that I sent you and they'll hook you up.

Nice, suggesting a different manufacturer with no reasoning behind it, from a company that's not a syty vendor.
I know TiAL is a great product, and I also know a syty member that makes them at TiAL so with that said I'd suggest ordering the TiAL
thank you, that is all.
