Anyone else like to overload their truck's? Pic's included!

I have a bunch of stuff up for sale on Craig's List and this morning a guy called and said he wanted the tires, wheels, and a tranny I had for sale. Well I didn't have anyway to hall everything to town so I used the Sy. I know it isn't 500 lbs, there is my battery and some other misc. junk back there also, it reminded me of a long time ago when I had to go pic up a load of tires in my old truck and thought I would post up the pics.

And the OG pic of my Cameo, way overloaded, that was a scary trip :rotf: You can't see but there is 4 wheels and a bunch of brake parts in the cab also

while my trucks was sitting on the side of the house, i put ALL my parts in it. no room at all in the cab except for the driver seat.

I made a trip to Miami and back. The trip up there I had two tranny's. The trip back I had a Ford 4.6 DOHC motor in the back. Everything to it. Even the supercharger my friend bought from the guy. The truck looked like it had 4" lowering blocks on it. It did look nice.

I notice, or seem to notice. Just about every week when I look at the ass end of my truck, it gets higher and higher.. Maybe its just me.:squint:

the other day i had an engine hoist, an engine, a hood and teo tool boxes........riding on the bump stops....

Florida to Alaska with 1,960 lbs plus me in my sonoma. I bottomed out so hard once the rearview mirror broke off the windshield. -I would NOT recommend trying this at home.

Yea, my GT in the background is a bit overloaded. It's all of the spare parts for my trucks. I had to clean out the garage to get all three of them inside for the winter. Yes, there is a blanket on the roof under the box.

I woulda put the tranny up closer to the cab,and maybe it would't have made the bed sag so much.

It was heavy and I was by myself
I only had to go 2 miles so it wasn't a big deal

You should just drive around like that all the time, your truck would have perma-launch! That's what my chev looks like when towing the sy and all of the spare parts in the bed.

sure. I got your overloaded pics for ya. how about 23k #'s in a truck desigated to carry 10k. BTW I think the 10k rating is bogus.

It ain't 23 tons but I did haul a dozen loads of 2.5 tons of rock in the back of my Tundra that was rated at... well, a helluva lot less.

hey whatever, its still a cool pic.

It ain't 23 tons but I did haul a dozen loads of 2.5 tons of rock in the back of my Tundra that was rated at... well, a helluva lot less.

Here is the most in my sy. BTW that was the first time since I bought the truck that I took off the bed cover. I had a washer & dryer in it last week too. There is over 500# in it in the pic but the truck was fine. 1/2 Those boxes are all filled with books. I once had 1500# of roofing material in my sonoma. I wish I had a pic of that. It was scary..

yea mine was over loaded a bit to much prolly about 1500lbs or more in the bed now i need to replce the leaf springs because it was used as a work/race truck :tdown:
