Anyone experienced with datamaster help...

I just got my aldl cable... and downloaded datamaster... well I Have tried everything once I try to monitor it it says somthign about unsopprted pc type. but the aldl cable is working? I have tried everything made sure I downloaded the corect version... This is on my laptop with a usb/serial adapter? anyone have any ideas

Not all USB to Serial adaptor works on all laptops.
I have the belkin usb to serial and it works on one laptop but keep crashing me dell.

I upgrade me cable to a usb cable from http://www.akmcables.com/trade-up.htm

Only $30 , Andrew from akm is one of the few vendors I delt with and will recommend.

I never try the monitor function don't know what it does.
I always open a new file, start recording.
Goto Options, Display and select Update all.
This give realtime display , if thats what you are looking for.
