There must be another number on it.

Or you can just plug it into the truck and turn the key on and read the voltage without starting it, either with a scantool or by backprobing it.

If it's a 2 bar it'll be about 2.30v at atmosphere.

If it's a 3 bar it'll be about 1.60v at atmosphere.

If it's a 1 bar it'll be over 4.5v and throw it in the trash.

Slightly dependent on your altitude of course.

The only thing I found was about a Ty that had this same Map sensor. No one ever id'ed it, but I'm betting it's a 2 bar. There's a way you can test it. Hook up vac/pressure to it and measure the output voltage. Each pound of boost pressure should have a corresponding output value in volts, with a 2 bar having a different scale than a 3 bar.

You can also connect the MAP sensor the truck and turn the ignition to on position (engine off) and look at the boost gauge. A 1 bar will read approx full boost, 2 bar in the middle, 3 bar approx 1/3 of the way into vacuum.

3 digit numbers for identification:
1 Bar: 039, 460, 883, 876, 153
2 Bar: 886, 012, 539, 609, 701
3 Bar: 749, 861

Well according to that its a 3bar... That's how it was represented to. Wonder what those strange numbers are all about???

Thanks for everyone's input..

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to running a 3bar on a stock sy????
