Anyone make a magnetic "decal"? ---

I like the look of a truck without the decals, but I also would like to run a decal atleast on the tail gate for a car show once in awhile.

Has anyone ever produced a magnetic "decal" for the SY/TY?

I just found out they made them for my TTA , and love the idea.

Maybe someone will start making them?

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but that's a great idea! I like the Indy decals, but most of the time they're just too much. For me anyway. I'll have to check into those too.

I agree, I am not always 100% sure I like them on the car LOL ... but for shows it would be nice ---

From researching how the TTA guys made them ... they had thin magnets made ... attached a regular decal to it ... then cut the magnet out around the decal.

Seems like it would be WAY easier for us to do vs. them.

I may search Ebay to see if someone is selling thin magnetic blanks and make one that way.

Did we used to have a rivalry with Mustangs Dave? LOL ---

I took my decals off because **** them if they don't know what it is,like I'd care :dunno:

I am surprised that stickerbomb or whatever hasn't chimed in. My brother in law could make something. He can make anything on magnets. I just spoke with him on the phone, and he can do these for 20 dollars a piece. It would be high quality vinyl on the thinnest magnet he can find. (similar to a fridge magnet). The magnet would be cut to the shape of the emblem. His name on here is himmergraphics. He has done several group buys of shirts for the NASTE gatherings. He is in good standings with all. If you have ever seen Donnie Brasco movies, "he is a friend of ours". If you PM him, and don't get a response, PM me and I will get his attention.

the decals on our trucks have a very nice solid contour/outline around them so putting them on a thin magnet (not too weak or it'l fly off) and cutting out the black outline would be pretty easy for most people to just to themselves with a nice sharp xacto knife and some patience. I like this idea actually...

What about using small high powered electro magnets behind the cladding? Flip a switch and BAM. The magnet decal will stick. Food for thought.
