anyone used an H3 bulb to replace backup lights?

anyone tried this?

i know its obviously not a direct replacement, but i want to give this a try. the regular bulbs (i think theyre 2057 or 1157) just arent bright enough to get the job done, especially when trying to look through limo tint at night... my only concern is heat, would a higher watt bulb melt the wiring perhaps even the tail light cover?

Get the 50 W direct drop in replacements. Do NOT drive too long backwards (heat). I have one "beep-beep" 50 W in the garage, swing by, it's a truck man though not a big rig :)
