Hi Guys!!

My Ty is converted to AIR to AIR and I'm considering buying the
ATR battery relocation kit and the cold air kit.

Does anyone use it here who could give som feedback on it? Any pictures?
The ad says; locates right under orginal? Behind the fog light!!??
The information on their web is poor if you ask me.
Is It even an option when you've done the AIR to AIR conversion?
Any other cool air suggestions?

both pieces of fuck

do some research, do it all yourself.

put battery in back, use some thick cable.

cold air kit - 90 degree hose off the turbo, piece of 3" pipe and a cone filter

you want the "COLD AIR" effect .. get some sheet metal and spend some time shaping and insulating the filter.

I've yet to see one that was a bolt on ordeal that was worth any money.

i highly advise against the battery relocation kit. i had that on my truck and when the battery died i had to literally tear the thing out of the truck. mount it in the bed somewhere and call it a day.

also, i have the cold air kit (also put on by the previous owner) and i like it but i cant really say it does a great deal. although when the little nuts that are tack welded to the inside break off and you cant remove the cover over the air filter, it really makes for a special afternoon for just you and your truck. aww. :smilecolros:

I have both (on the truck when I bought it) the battery relocate kit drives me nuts when I've had to jump it, but provided a place for me to put my vacuum ball and msd box. The cold air kit (no surround, just the cone filter on the end of the tube) seems to do alright, but I have nothing to compare it to.

One more thing, if you have both, just mount some remote battery terminals onto the cold air box. That way if you need to jump or charge ur battery, you dont have to pull the tire/fenderwell to get to it.

I have both sitting in the corner of my kitchen.
Came as part of an ATR stage 2 kit.

I'm having too many other problems getting this thing running correctly that I'm abandoning the upgrade for now.

You can have them real cheap if your interested.

ATR Batt kit

ATR Batt kit

I bought the Relo kit and thought the same thing U did - that it went below the existing Batt INSIDE the engine compartment. No, unfortunarely, it is OUTSIDE the compartment in front of the front tire - which I didn't like at all. There are many previous posts on this.

So I bought a real thin Optime yellow that fit down in the well below the present batt location. And I routed the K&N over top of it into the fenderwell - a real tight fit. Since then I have noticed that Exide has a similarly sized batt 4 less than half the price.

I reused the ATR as a platform in front of the Pass wheel to mount my Shurflow IC pump and the vac ball.
