meaning it's only driven maybe 100 miles a month? They look great and are priced right IMHO. I have ZR1 (GS) 17's with 315's in back. Would there be any problem installing them front and rear? The truck is also never in the rain. Help!

yep, that would work just fine.

If you're daily commuting in the rain and snow I'd say no way, but for a play toy that just goes fast and gets put away for bad weather they are ideal.

Only reason I don't have them b/c I couldnt afford them when i bought my tires.

My friend had approx 3000 miles on his DR before they didn't have enough tire depth to be legal anymore. I drove them for approx 5K miles... I am sure the life depend on how aggressive you drive.

I have the ZR1's with Drag Radials all around on my Sy and have no problems. Like yours, mine is just a fair weather toy. :D

Hey Mike,

Nice to hear from you again. I'll email you when I get everything together - probably a month or two!

Historically Significant
I have the BFG drag radials on the Sy. They will wear pretty quickly if you take turns/curves fast, especially on the outsides of the tires. Certain road surfaces seem to induce quicker tire wear/scuffing too... rough concrete or tar/chip > black top/asphalt.

For the weekend driver/track Sy, go with the radials.

OK. Maybe in a month or two the weather will be a bit cooler. Once again, this weekend is shot in the azz with work...

The Nittos will last longer than the BFG. I think the BFG hook better.

BFG just came out with 18" drag radials . New tread design - and even softer than the old Comp T/A drag radial...

I got a set of 265/40/18's on the GT-R.

I have the Nittos on my Syclone - had them on my Typhoon.... not that many miles - but they still look decent.... mostly cause the trucks have been parked for years...

I just ordered a set of the drags for my truck as well. Tire rack has a special going on them right now and for the 315 rears, its almost the cheapest tire they sell :D

Hey,

I bought mine locally for $168 including mounting, balancing and valve stems. Figure I saved the Tire Rack shipping charges and then having to pay $15-20 for install.

Good luck with them!
