I have heard conflicting stories on blocks. Some say you can use any 4.3 block and others say you cant. I am using a regular 4.3 block for my build, my engine builder told me to use my main caps instead of the regular ones. But its going to be a normal 4.3 block that hopefully doesnt go BOOOOOOOM. If you have the money a GM performance parts BowTie block is the Ultimate in Bad assness but they are kindof spendy.

In most instance you want to use roller block, with a one piece rear main seal w/o a blance shaft. The balance shaft is a weaker block.
