when i got my ty it had a new atr pitbull chip in the glove box. i know thru researching that the ultimate is the way to go. however i was just wondering about the reliability of these chips , tried searching but couldnt locate anything. i know the kenne bell chips are a no-no , but what about the pitbulls ? better to just stick with the stock chip ? tia

I used a pitbull four two years when daily driving the sy.. the pitbull street chip is close to stock in everyway just changes rpm limit, speed limit, ic pump turn on, first boot launch, etc
It's not as radical as any of the ultimate's settings I believe and I wouldn't concider them anything to worry about when thinking in terms of reliabilty.. kb chips disabled the knock feature, these do not.

It's just a six

Re: atr chip

I used the Pitbull chip for a few years. Worked great, no problems.
I also had the Kenne Bell street chip my friend gave me.
It worked OK & it did have the knock retard feature. IIRC it had 6-8 degrees of knock retard.
