ATR downpipe and ProGate 42mm ext wastegate work? ---

Hey guys, I notice alot of you are using the 38mm wastegates and I have a 42mm progate wastegate. Will it work with my ATR downpipe without modification to the flange? Mike @ RPM explained to me that HIS downpipe was designed for the 38mm wastegates. Thanks ---

I just went through the same thing. I have a atr downpipe and had there wastegate to boot. Had a bad overboost problem, but I put a turbosmart 38mm hi-temp wastegate and it controls the boost fine up to 24lbs on a t-62 turbo. What Im trying to say is if the wastegate has a 2 bolt flange it will work, anything else will not with the atr as far as what I've been told.

Shoot, I just tried to put them together and this progate is WAY too big. Damn, hahah. Time to sell it and get the right part ---

Will the Tial 38mm or the 35mm Turbonetics Evolution one bolt to the ATR dp (I know they will for the RPM one)? I am going to run solid 11's....and use a pte63 turbo....will they come with the correct springs I need? Thanks ---

Don't expect your Tial 38 to fit perfectly either, it took a little grinding and slotting of my ATR downpipe bolt holes before the two surfaces would meet up.

HMMM maybe I should look into the TURBOSMART one like I was told above?

Thanks for the heads up....what are most people using with their ATR DP? ---

SWEET, for some reason I am not understanding the spring pressure thing....am I looking for a 15lb spring if I want to run 15lbs of boost? Its the TIAL SPORT version in 38mm that I am looking for with 1bar...or 15lbs spring? I will be running a greddy spec 2 boost controller.... will all of this work together?

The TURBOSMART Ultra Gate uses the 17lb spring. That is the highest boost spring I am finding available. How are all these guys running 24lbs of boost?! Thanks ---

the turbonetics gate should bolt right up;.. people have used them in the past.. the TIAL's have a ~ .100" shorter base on the dump side, so it doesnt line up as perfect.. on our downpipes we make them for the evo gate which is included in the kit, however we also have a template for the tials(if guys request them) Due to the design of the slip fit dump pipe (rpm dp), if the tube pulls any more to one side it will not fully seal like it should when the temps rise and the heat expands the pipe.

Thank you guys very much , the Evo gate is where I am heading :). I have a Greddy spec 2 electric controller....I didnt realize no matter the spring ; its still adjusted by the controller ----
