After a 9 year hate-mostly-love relationship, I sold my 92 red/gry just over 2 years ago. I've missed it ever since. While I own 2 Syclones, neither of them are drivable, and I really missed my Typhoon.
I from time to time have mentioned 93 wht/gry #0498 as being "mine". It was purchased as a partnership with a very close friend in 97. He's been driving it since then, and I've maintained it. For the past couple years, he's been threatening to buy a new car, and I wanted the 93, especially after I began to regret having sold the 92. There are other aspects to the deal, but this past week he bought a new car for himself, and I picked up the 93 this morning and brought it home.
It's a fairly original 93. Most of the white paint is original. It's a Southwest States Typhoon, that has been garaged for at least 14 years and shows no surface, undercarriage, or engine rust. It will shine-up nicely. The cladding was repainted a few years back. Front bumper needs repaint and straighten. Wheels are peeling, and need truing. Engine has never been out or worked on but runs fine, the transmission wore out (did NOT break) and was out for the first time last year. It has been very lightly driven, by a gentleman that has no idea what a boost launch is, much less has ever done one. Nice original Ty right down to the metal IC pipes, and Bosch IC pump that still works.
I just wanted to share. I'm happy to have a Typhoon again. This one's a keeper. I'm not going to make the mistake of selling something I truly enjoy again. Here's a couple of pics from my files.
