Well guys May 4th was very horrible day for me. I wrecked my Sgt.I rear ended my friend on the way to a car show in pa. My truck is not driveable. Im gonna need a hood fender bumper radiator hood and some other parts too. It was a horrible night. So now shes in a secure lot about an hour and 15 mins away from my house. O well i guess ill have it back in the nxt 3 weeks. Insruace hasnt even looked at it yet. It wasnt my fault either some lady stopped in front of us real fast i swerved to miss him and hit the brakes but i didnt stop in time.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Unfortunately, any time you rear-end someone its your fault for following too close. At least up here. I could slam on my brakes on the highway for shits and giggles and say a mouse ran across the road if anyone rearended me. They would be 100% at fault. At any luck good luck with the repairs. See if your insurance allows you to pick the repair shop. Do some asking around if they do.

Actually it is a pretty good law. If you follow to close you will hit someone, if you dont you wont.

This is very very bad logic...Almost daily, i have someone cut me off and slam on there brakes faster than i can react...thus if i hit them how am I at fault? Yet the law here states the same...Pathetic!

I agree the law is not realistic. Many Many places I have driven if you leave enough room for a bumper some asshole will decide to put his car in there. I have wondered before how you could possibly maintain legal following distances and actually get to the destination.
I didn't have my truck a week when I nearly had to replace most of the left side cladding,Good thing for smooth shoulders

I also didn't have the truck a week before I beat a Mustywang

if YOU FOLLOW to close, yes, its your fault. However having some insane stupid ass motherfucker cutting you off, so they can advance one car length, but ends brake checking you instead is their fault! Call the police, chp, wsp or what have you and have them investigate the seen. and they will determine (based off the evidence) who was at fault, this will help a great deal when getting into insurance claims.

and I've been, there done that

Not true, if you can prove that the person in front of you was not in control of their vehicle they are at fault. Skid marks puts them directly at fault. The law firm I work for does the claims for 2 of the largest insurance companies in town. It's unreal some of the stupid things people do!!
