Ok tried to hook up my Ty to my PC with the Data master I have and no dice I messed with the settings and still no reading, and still idles like crap with the map plugged in any Ideas, I have done a search but noting found for my problem

put a wbo2 on it see what it says,i bet its going to say its lean, these trucks like a bit of a rich idle.So they dont wander ,surge etc

8.7 that thing should be dumping fuel out the muffler at that number.

coolant sensor is common gm problem and would make it run rich ,look at the scan tool and see if it says some odd numbr like-30 or something

hell im having the same problem, my syclone is running like crap and idles up and down and turns off, but is you get a little gas at a stop you can keep running, ive been having this problem for weeks, just seem to get worse, but when you disconnect the map sensor, seems to idle perfect, put 2, of the 2 bar map sensor still no luck, went to a friends shop, put on the scanner and says map sensor to low, the weird thing is when you pull the vaccum line and run about 15 lbs of vaccum it idles perfect anything high runs like crap, when you connect the vaccum line to it and runs like crap, ive change the cap,rotor,plugs,wires,02 sensor, coolant temp sensor and checked for vaccum leaks and can't find s&*t! its starting to tick me off, if anybody can tell what direction to go would be appreciate!!!!
