A friend told me he saw a white sy recently while watching the auction. Is there any chance this could be the challenge sy?

I went through the entire auction list and didn't see it listed. Just curious , because I'd like to know what the deal is with that sy.

Last year I talked to John Moss about the challenge truck that was supposed to be auctioned off. Ran into him at the local restaurant where I work. He said that it was pulled for emmissions and onces it passes, it will be back up. He said that they were going to auction it off at Florida, but that must not have happened. I wouldn't be suprised if its up for auction this year.

Cool, that'd be a nice one.

Wonder what kind of documentation would come with it.

I saw the white Sy too. But it took me a couple of hours to figure out that Speedvision was replaying the 2004 auction. The 2005 auction starts Jan. 27th.
The white Sy was in the background under the "GM Performance" tent while they were talking to John Moss.

Unfortunately there are no SYTY's listed for auction this year.

I"ll be there again for sure. I live about a mile away and they keep sending me media passes for some reason. :D

I have a bunch of photos of the white sy that was there last year. I'll put them up somewhere when I get around to it.

I remember seeing that rruck last year and I think I took a few pics with my dads camera before he told me to stop using all his film on 1 truck. I usually get vendor passes from a friend so hopefully i can get them again this year. My dads actually looking to bid too.

Being a showcase type of car, you'd think they would slap another front bumper cover on it that didn't have a big 'ol scratch on it.

Maybe they think originality is more important, who knows....

What a truck though.

Yes, it is a gnarly scrape mark. Probably from moving crap around in the semi they shipped them around in...

That's not that close to the auction, but it is right next to Old Town Scottsdale. That's a good place to be if you're looking to have a good time.

You're just about a 10-minute shot up the 101 freeway to get to the auction. It's getting to the 101 that's a pain. Just head East on Camelback and it should run right into the 101 eventually, if traffic is light that is.

After your short jaunt up the 101 you want to take the Frank Lloyd Wright/Raintree exit. Take the FLW exit and go straight through the intersection (stay in the rightmost straight lane). Turn right when you see bronze horses about 100 yards past the intersection. After that you're on your own, but there'll be 11-ty billion people there waving you where to go...

To get to vegas all you need to do is continue North on the 101, it'll turn to the West (it's a loop). Take a right about 20-25 minutes later on the I-17 North, then take a left on the Carefree Hwy exit, go about another hour and you'll dead end at Wickenburg, take a left and DON'T SPEED through the place, cops are rampant there. After putting 35 mph through there you want to take a right when it says "durr... Vegas right". It's right by and ice cream shop if I recall correctly. After that just follow signs... Takes about 5 and a half hours to get there...

I live about 2 minutes down the street, literally. I'm gonna try to score some tickets from a friend of mine, I'll see how many I can get.
