Re: Basic Economics About Our Trucks!!
My opinion is this. My '92 Ty has 140k on it, all in all good shape. It could use a paint job and value seats replaced. I feel I paid a fair price (under 9k) for it back in '02. Searching in '02 found few under 12k and I only drove 30 miles to buy it. But as I've seen with others for sale now I almost couldn't give it away. And honestly I feel could make more money by parting it out, which I think Jimmy has mentioned to be true. With gas being so much and the ecomony so bad, money is tight and not being spent. Could this change down the road, who knows? As my wife ask me "whey do want to keep the Ty, no one knows what they are and you don't see any around". I tell her it something about knowing you own something that only 2,500 were made, with only 11 others being green/gray (that I know of) and that is the reason you don't see many. People have Z28's, chevelle's, mustang's and they're everywhere, but as we all know people just don't know about these unique machines.
