IOM ATR one sucked monkey balls.
Not hard to make your own. Use plate steel and mount it under headlight....below stock location

ATR and KB are the suck.

Bad angle pic, but heres the KB in my truck that mounts under the bed, just behind the forward cladding bed piece. It should have a metal cover over it, but seeing how it fits like poo, its near impossible to put on, hence it stays off.

No worries though, with barely enough room to slide the battery in place, it aint coming out. I tape up my terminals when I do have to remove/install for fear of grounding out on the bed frame rails.

If ever you have to get the battery out, you do have to take off the tire.

Ewww taking off your tire to get to the battery = CRAP!!!

Any other setups? If not I guess I will try to put it under the headlight like MAC recommended ---

If I had to choose and we are talking Sy only... id stick with the under bed location. Lesser of the evils if you ask me, but I think they are both horrible in their own unique way of design and safety.

Ive had a few times where the battery has gone dead on me. Simply take the jumper cables and hook to the back of the alternator and ground out on the AC bracket and just let the jumper car run, not turning on the Sy. After 3-5 minutes, remove the cables and usually starts right up.

Re: Battery Relocation Kit?

I was one of those people that didn't want to put it in the bed due to drilling but after dealing with the battery being below the stock location and having to make room for my front mount's piping I broke down and mounted the optima in the back.. im happy so far plus I have remote terminals for easy jumping when needed.

Re: Battery Relocation Kit?

What box and length cables did you use to mount in the bed? Do you have any pics.

I'm a Mustang guy and we have kits pre-made for this type of pain in the ass lol

Don't know how much I ended up using but my kit came with 20 foot of cable plus 3 foot of negitive cable.. I ran my cable up to the pas side fender then mounted a set of remote terminals in an aluminum plate bolted over one of the holes in the fender. also i've own a few mustangs too

Yea that would be excellent if you could grab me some pics on how you did everything. I'd really appreciate it.

Re: Battery Relocation Kit?

Sorry for the delay, but here are the pics that were requested. Just to let you know that currently the install is not done since I am waiting on a couple of things (ring connectors and inline fuse). The coil of 0gauge wire is about 15ft when I had it roughed in for length.

Here is the Relocated terminals from casper installed.

Holes drilled for battery box relocation in behind passenger side box. I used gromets that were from the 'HELP' section at my local auto parts store (PCV grommets) 1" hole.

Relocation Box mounted.

Another angle......

I will add more once I complete it.
