I installed mine last night on the stock leaf springs and I have about an inch or two tops for ground clearance. Were the Battle Bars made to run only on drop leafs?

Mine sit the same way. If you do a search about them some people only use the top hole and cut the bottom of the flange for better clearance.

Battle bars here with stock leafs on a Syclone no problems at all. By ground clearance do you mean the mount that hang down or the bar in general, how about some pictures of your concerns.

I don't see how drop leafs would make a difference in whwfw the bars are mounted. They don't affect the height of the axle, just thw height of the body on the frame.

did you remove the overload spring? it will give you some more room but won't do anything for height off ground.

here is what i found on my sy. battle bars go below the spring, which is below the axle, which isnt that far from the ground to start with. add say a set of 2inch blocks to lower the rear on fact springs, then you are realy close to the ground. Dropped springs would be like having no blocks thus not nearly aas close to the ground. Not the best pic, but you can see how close they are to the ground on 2 inch blocks.

It shouldnt matter what kind of leafspring you are using, but if you are using blocks or not. Blocks are great and easy for lowering the truck but they are horrible for suspension performance if racing.

If you have blocks, they are very close to the ground. I cut mine off and used the upper hole.

I'll have to get some pics tomorrow. I have been super busy so haven't gotten a chance to snap some. I'd love nothing more than to cut it and use the upper hole but if I half to take those damn plates off one more time I think I will throw a hissy fit. Had to replace two of the u-bolts the other night. Luckily I had some laying around. I may just take them off altogether and sell them. Not too sure yet. I definitely do not want to remove my load springs. I had them drilled for the bump stops which I thought made a fair difference. I paid to to have it done because I scrapped 3 drill bits trying to drill through that crap.
