looking for a great set of tires. I plan on getting some zr1's or z06 wheels soon. I plan on using my stock wheels and tires for when I do some winter driving. SO I need some sticky good handeling tires. Any suggestions.

Re: best tires

My personal favorites:

BFG G-Force T/A KD's
GY Eagle F1 GS-D3's
GY Eagle F1 Supercars
Mich Pilot Sports PS2's

All made for high end sports cars. All have tremendous cornering stability. The KD's are supposively a nightmare in the rain, though.

Re: best tires

I am using the bfg kdws right now. Very impressed on their wet traction. Dry its good, but I want something thats going to stick.

I am running 275/40/18 Falkens and so far I like em alot. Cheap price and good quality. Its a darn good bang for your buck tire.

Re: best tires

I ran Kumho 712s on my WS6, they were like $100 a piece, and really soft. The handled excellent in the rain at 80mph.

Agree.....I believe this to be the best "non drag radial" dry traction tire out there.

Re: best tires

I have always been a fan of bfg's Running KDWS tires right now. All my cars have had them. Just want to be sure its a good tire to run. Now to find some wheels.

Well....the KDWS is the high performance all season....where as the KD is their extreme summer performance. Just wanted to throw that out there incase you were unaware. There is a big difference between the KDWS the KDW (wet weather) and the KD (dry traction) tires.

Re: best tires

yeah. Thanks. I checked on their website. I will run the stock wheels and kdws in the winter and my new tires and wheels in the summer. I like the wet traction the kdws tires have.
