This is a sy btw. and as far as a color scheme goes, stock colors outside. polished alum. under hood, polished rims, red calipers, same stuff as normal people, nothing new.
You don't want to chrome any of your suspension parts. Something called hydrogen embrittlement.
True black chrome was almost a lost art sometime ago. I also believe it costs more than regular chrome.
So I voted black powdercoat.
a place in Phoenix does it, yes it is more. i understand the process weakens it, but i would not be the first to chrome a-arms and it is not for off-road.
Personally I'd want mine just powdercoated black. Chrome just seems silly unless it's a show car and everything is chrome. Glossblack would be alright, but green would just look goofy imo.
And cheaper/no reduced stability FTW!
I'd be down for a flat/matte black set of arms
Don't do black chrome! its looks like black paint when plated and cost $$$. Do a black nickel plating, they can tint the plating as dark as you like and it looks alot more reflective than black chrome. Talk to the guys at Advanced Plating in Nashville TN, I've had some stuff done by them and their work is incredible!
As i should have stated before, it will be a show truck. Well show and go. it will not be driven much, or in the rain, but definitely taken to the track
I would do the black / chrome stuff
I also heard and seen that its possible to powdercoat chrome perfectly
and finish it of with clear powder mixed with bit black powdercoat.
Its more lemon like than real black /chrome but after some polishing WOW
I dont know it will affect the C/O less than real BLACK/CHROME ??
I already did stock blue powder coating on my C/O
