Blk ty at the Chitown nats with the custom transfer case?

Who was it that had the black ty at the Chitown nats a few yrs ago that had installed the high $$$ custom built shiftable xfer case? I believe it may have had an odd fire motor too.

Anyone know what happened to that truck? I remember it making some passes at the nats and read some posts about it before the nats but havent seen or heard about it since. Did the owner/builder get it sorted out or was the project shelved?

Theres no special reason I wanna know other than I think I saw a similar xfer case in a rock crawling rig and thought about that ty :squint: :squint: .

I think your talking about Ryan maybe? aka unisac v6. I think him and myself are competing for the longest amount of time on jackstands.

There was also i think a custom transfer case there on display someone had bought.

Are you sure? How long has it been sitting? The last renewal tag on mine is 02, so since sometime in 2001 it's been idle.

Mine has been sitting for long it has parts to YOUR truck sitting on top of it. This is no joke either.

Its got to be Ryans truck, I believe it has some sort of an Atlas transfer case in it.

Thats the transfer case Im talking about. I believe they machine their own cases from billet and all kinds of other drool-able machine work.

This truck will make it to the '07 Nats. :)

Nothing more I would like than a lane at the event with that truck :)

But there are at least two other trucks with a transfer case like that. One would be Noci from Rockford, goes by IlSPINlI or something like that. The second is owned by someone from the southeast, if they want their name posted they can post it themselves but its someone who post on the regular on here.

Man, pretty much had forgotten about those. A truck on jack stands doesn't need brakes.

Havent ben on in forever but Marty asked me to post quick. I have the atlas transfer case in my ride. Full billet, helical cut gears, etc. I am in the middle of reformating my pc but will try to post some pics of it all installed when I can.

Ryans was also damn beefy but believe it was the NP205 or 305 series case, not the atlas. Mine is matched to an FB turbo400.

Ok, I'll bite. Where did / do these X-fere cases come from and is it a bolt in or?

All the 4x4 guys uses the Atlas. Rock crawling, mud bogging, whatever. It's the best.

It's aftermarket. I don't think you'll find it stock in anything.

They have an adapter for the 700R4 and the TH400.

Things are going well. Thanks for the warm welcome!

I bought a new house in the chi burbs, have a new job traveling 4-5 days a week, and am keepin busy as hell!

The truck is going great but at a stand still until I can get my ass out to Rockford Racecraft to work on it; or even have extra money to buy all those stupid extra little things you never plan for. Mortgages, taxes, hahaha all new to me!

Motor is almost ready to be dropped in. Still need to do the baer kit I have, debating suspension things over the winter now that I have time, some wiring, fuel lines...all the little stuff from there.

Here are some pics...

My old hard drive crashed (Head into cylinders aka Dead) and I could only find these pictures. Hope they are OK for now.

As far as the case, we modified the cross member to match it, but clearance issues were very minimal believe it or not. This thing is HEAVY DUTY.

Custom set up for my turbo 400, custom gear set up. All in all, great product so far.
