blower motor questions!

Well my heater core when out on my TY and i replaced that and found that my blower motor was unhooked. I hooked it back up and had everything but high mode. Then about a day later ever setting when out but i can here the blower running but it only seems to be running on low in any position. I belive it has a bad relay somewhere seeing how it runs it must have power going to it. Can anyone help me out and tell me where the relays are and if they ever encounted this problem before. Relay is the silver box on the firewall just above the heater box. Cheap enough, just replace it... but be ready to find the problem is really at the control switch in the dash. As the brushes start to wear out, the motor draws excessive current, menlting the plastic at the switch connectors, causing loss of contact. However, the relay is a good place to start.
