Has any one tried BMW wheels? They look awesome especially the machine faced ones. My reason for asking is that my truck is black...and I would like to purchase a set of these... http://www.ebay.com/itm/200765645459?. Only one thing concerned about the offset. Check the wheel tech on Sportmachines, wouldn't be a problem...just concerned about how far fronts would push out. I already have ready have hub centric spacers on the rear for my current set up. C6 polished 18x10 way too much maintenance. They are nice when cleaned up but I am looking for athe set that looks like it came on truck. I do have the stock rims.

Are there any suggestions on what offset for BMW wheels would work best? Really not interested in staggered setup but would consider!

4.75*25.4 = 120.65

This is the BMW bolt pattern you need. 120.00 won't work. Look for the BMW listed with 120.65 pattern.

I'm pretty sure there are no 120.65 mm pattern BMW wheels. One would just use 120 mm pattern. Do you really think 0.65 mm is going to cause the wheels not to fit on the lugs?

SyTys have already had 120 mm pattern BMW wheels installed. The offset is the main concern.

I say it all depends on how fast you want to go. I'm not going to mess around in the triple digits with spacers, slightly off bolt patterns, & kinda performance tires. I ve got to much invested to catch a gotchya when I'm doing something stupid.

ive ran bmw wheels on my ty since 07 and 15k miles with no problems. Those wheels will work fine, the front will stick out a tiny bit about 5mm, but with my last wheels they were the same offset and everything as those I never had any problems and I had huge 255/45/18 tires that were 27" tall. and .65 divided by 5 studs is about the thickness of a hair each stud, so ya the math is there but ...



or just get vette wheels and be like everyone else lol.

There's so much other shit to worry about breaking on these trucks that a hair width isn't something to lose sleep over.

Hi,

I've run a set of OEM BMW rims (E46 M3 era) for a while, maybe 4 yrs. Biggest thing is getting offset to work when going with BMW rims. You want a "staggered" set, personal preference. Almost got a set of Hamanns H2's and the ideal offsets were Front - 38mm and Rear - 13mm. One guy on the forum here had them and fit-up was perfect, but very pricey. Think with the M3 rims I'm just slightly off the ideal on the rears about 1cm, at Front 47mm and Rear 26mm - 225s front and 255s rear all 8.5" wide all corners. If you get the offset right, no worries about spacers :)

Second note... the front rims center cap won't exact fit as the spindle threads stick out too far. I've left it be and run without a cap on the front. I've often wonders about getting a port-a-band saw and trimming the threads to fit the cap and re-dye'ing the threads. Just something to remember if making a purchase.

Thirdly, stick with 18s, no larger diameter. Ride gets way stiffer just with 18s, hence I went for M3 18's instead of their optional 19s,

Fourthly, I just final got a nicer set of lugs than in the pictures below. Our lugs are open and covered by the GMC cap. With BMW rims figure $40 for some new black covered lugs. Got them at discount tire for $2/lug,

Check craigslist or bimmerforums and can get used OEM rims from the E46 M3 / E36 M3 crowd sometimes incl. tires $$$. I went that route back in the day,

Yes, like others have said and more, YOU CAN RUN BMW WHEELS WITH NO ISSUES.

People have been running them on fourth gen Camaro's for years.

That 1/2 of a mm is insignificant, it's a safe bet that if you mic out a set of cheap brand BMW wheels the bolt hole configuration is larger than 120mm anyway.
