hey guys, I have an oddball question that i am sure someone can help me out with. I have built a body cart to set my blazer body on and am wanting to put caster wheels on so that i will be able to move it around in my garage. My question to you is if the casters are rated at 1500 lbs each do you think that they would be strong enough to support the body on all four corners? any input would be greatly appreciated. mods if this is not in the proper forum feel free to move.

You should be ok. If your concerned about weight put three up front and three in the rear. one on each corner and one in the middle. If you have a copy of Rod&Custom Feb 2012 they have an artichle on how to build a high lift car dollie.

thanks for the reply, I kinda figured it would be. Heavy duty casters get real expensive real quick and once i get the frame back and put back together i will probably never use the cart again. so wasnt wanting to drop a whole lot of cash on it.

Just go to Lowes or Home Depot, crab a bunch of their carts and use the wheels from them, when your done, drop them back off in a box. Why spend money on something your only going to use once. ;0

I have 2 shopping cart bottoms in the garage, I use them for engines/transmissions. They come in pretty handy.
