Boost contollers?

atkonkler

Is this your bush?
Who uses what kind? Or has used and didnt like it? I've read about all kinds on other forums but nothing SyTy specific. Im looking for better info related to our trucks and what works best, ease of install, cost etc.

Thanks Aaron

All input is appreciated!

Used aem truboost as well..worked great, simple to use. Its actually for sale now. Going a different route with my next build. So it won't be needed.

AMS500 is a great budget controller. Two stages and ramp-in capable (bring boost in feom launch stage at whatever rate you need for better traction).

The 1000 is excellent if you are an all-out drag racer. Lots of programming capabilities allow you to be truly creative with boost as track conditions change. Its pricey but very good. I typically recommend the 500 with most street cars since its really powerful and priced right. I use a 500 in my ty.

I like the Greddy as well. It is weird to try to learn but once you figure it out it is an awesome controller. I was using the ISAC before my turbo fell off and liked it as well but that is no longer made I guess.

Re: Boost contollers?

I use a standard air pressure regulator from the hardware on both my trucks, and they work great.

The Hallman works great, it's a tried and true ball and spring design. You can make them pretty easily out of hardware store fittings. Another one is the G-Valve, or Grainger valve.

I've used both, they both work awesome for a manual.

I have a HKS EVC EZ that I'm putting in ASAP, it's just a basic electronic controller with 2 settings, off (wastegate spring pressure) and whatever you set it to via a knob.
