What can I replace the stock up pipe with? I do not like the way it fits on there.

The cheapest would be to buy a radiator hose and cut it to fit.

Some of the SyTy vendors have them made for this.

If you are loosing air from this pipe. There is no way to build the correct boost.

Re: Boost control cutout relay??

What chip do you have? The Ultimate chips usually needed the wastegate rod to be tightened. My stock Sy with an Ultimate pretty much made base boost in 1 and 2 gear with the stock wastegate rod adjustment.

While it may be frustrating, I don't think it's a waste of time verifying the turbo boost control operation given the age of SyTy's.

Re: Boost control cutout relay??

I'm pretty sure its the stock chip. The truck used to pull hard but I can't remember if it started actin up before or after I replaced the boost control solenoid. I was changing the lines and accidentally broke the tip off the old one that goes to the waste gate. I have power to the orange wire on the solenoid with the key on. I also took off the solenoid and was able to blow through it. So I'm clueless at this point.

Hey dave the test turned out good, solenoid is ok and working. Im pickin up a new wastegate actuator on saturday so hopefully it helps. If not then its off a cliff for the ty hahaha just kidding.

New can? Really? From GM? How much did it set you back?

Me or Epstyphoon303?

Boost Gauge? Just going off of what DataMaster is showing as boost. AFAIK, this should be accurate(ish). Right?

Sotck chip? OK... you got me there... I'm making assumptions based on my observations (and what DM is showing as the ID on the chip).

Waste movement? This is next. I was waiting on a another actuator from a member here before pulling the fenderwell liner out. I'm hearing 7/8th overlap. Right?

Pics? I can do that later.

As far as overlooking something simple... I'm in IT. We overlook the simple stuff all day long.

Uh, 303. This is his thread, and every response of mine in this thread so far has been directed at assisting him. If you're also following along, and getting useful info, great. I added a quote above so it is more clear as to whom I'm addressing.

NP. We've both been going after our "low boost" issues in a similar fashion. Frustrating when a proposed fix does nothing (or at least has no net effect).
