if you are running a stock configuration (injectors/internal wastegate) then you can control boost with the ultimate chip and dont need to buy one. Thats probably a better investment.
Dont confuse them with grainger type or bleeder valve, they are NOT the same.. The boost valve is quite a bit better.. And you cant argue with the price..
I keep hearing about controlling boost with an ultimate chip. Does the ultimate chip do things you can't do by just reprogramming a bin or is it just the usual name for a custom bin?
with the ultimate you can toggle true different programs, each program has their own boost settings, so bassicly you can control boost with the chip, altough you need a 3 bar map sensor
I have been very happy with the performance of the Blitz dual sbc R, this is on an external gate but I imagine it would also work well with the stock wastegate.
Just ordered a Blitz SBCidII at a ridiculous cost of $475, but apparently the Ultimate 50# chip has boost control removed so I'll be using it for fuel and timing, but the Blitz for boost control with an external gate. Expensive, but worth it IMO.
www.raceprovenmotors.com
has the innovaitve msbc boost controller and that is what all the big boys are using
like ed hess, Matt& Doc hoover.
But i have one but have not had the time to get it installed yet but it is a very nice peice but also very expensive also.
but there are some good ones out there but if you want the best get the innovative one.
