I did this yesterday and it worked fine. Slot is called "LPS" in the fuse box. The bulb on the gauge has two wires coming off it, white and black. Hook white up to LPS and black to a ground. Should work.

****K. I got it to work, and i tried it many times while putting everything back together and it worked. and when i had almost everything back together. i tried it and it didnt work. so i rewired everything, tried a new bulb and still nothing. maybe i should try another slot. ANY IDEAS???:rant:

my guess is that my fusebox is bein stupid. What slot should i try now? Or what fuses should i check?

I just spliced mine to the power coming out from the light switch and it works fine.

Where do you have your ground wire going to? If it's not bare metal, you are going to have issues...

i was thinking that. its on a painted piece of metal, i guess ill try that now, thanks for the hint. ill tell you guys if it works

Its good that you learn the very important lesson of how critical grounds can be on something simple like a light bulb instead of something under the hood!
