boost/vaccum .. new owner and a few questions

hi guys new to the syty owners world.. and turbo world .. i've been reading a lot of post,s but my question is should the vac line on the waste gate be blocked off for any reason?
I am still trying to figure out what's been done to this truck ... I see vortec heads I think or just at least vortec valve covers . the kid I got it from knew nothing about the truck .. so im trying to figure it all out .. so help lol
vac line diagram and should the line from waste gate to solenoid be connected

One should go from the selenoid to the actuator. the other should go from the selenoid to the turbo. Check your lines to see if any have metal crimps, if so they are original and should be replaced.

North Jersey. Dude, save yourself some time, find somebody close to you who knows these trucks to take a Saturday afternoon have a beer and go through it.

We'll first off welcome! You also might want to post a picture of the truck and the four last digits of the vin number which is the truck number. You never know sometimes it will amaze you the knowledge some members have and know the truck or a previous owner that might be able to help. You might get lucky and type the truck number in the search and find some info. I'm in New York by the tappenzee bridge if you want to come this way maybe I can help. Good luck

She's 1250 I did look her up and only see a few post about trouble in the past that's was fixed and someone said it should be scrapped cause of a lil rust .. I've fixed most of the rust for lest them 200 .. Right now truck in on stands I'm replacing suspension and few other things ..

Welcome to the self hate club. My Ty was a bag of BS and surprises but the best way to learn is through experience. Good luck with everything and enjoy the journey.
