Boost wows

So after spending way too much trying to tackle an exhaust leak I am left with what I still think is an exhaust leak. I had the exhaust manifold planed down, so far infact that it is now pinching my oil dipstick thanks to the shop I took it too, I had the crossover pipe re adjusted, and now the only thing left is probably an A bomb and a 6 foot whole... Okay maybe not, but what I have is a very anoying tick that is loud enough to hear over the engine and I think it is the coulpret to why I can't build boost-at all- while power braking. Any input if this is the reason why no boost, or if this is even an exhaust leak? :rant:

the tick is probably just your injectors. especially if your injectors are stock.

really? Are they that loud? What do you think about not being able to power brake boost?

Could also be a bad rocker/lifter, which would make boost-building difficult as well.

Stock chip?

Wire the WG flapper shut as a test (get out of it if the boost gets too high).. see what happens.

Ya its pretty much all stock, haven't had the money to fix it and customize it at the same time (poor college student syndrom). I have had intentions to get a new chip but wasn't sure which way to go. I will check the waste gate as well
