just curiuos. everyone says "your a sucker for punishment" why? i owned my 25k mile 93 white Ty and never had a problem. this 92 runs great and i drive it everyday 5 miles. Whats up? what issues have you come across?????

hey steve, how has your Ty been treating you? My 93 i sold never had a problem and my black 92 i have been driving 5 miles a day to work. what issues have you come across ?

This forum is filled...FILLED with problems that people have had or WILL have with SyTys. Their relative high maintenance is part of the reason you can pick up a decent truck to day for about $10k, while GN's (less prone to things breaking) are fetching above original costs.

The value of this forum in fact, is for people to confirm, comisserate, and help fix those problems that occur with many, many trucks.

A stock 25k truck and a stock 30k truck will not have all the problems that occur...but they WILL eventually. Transmission and front suspension are two that come to mind. And with any OLD, low mileage vehicle, we have problems of our own...including the drying out of seals which causes leaks. So keep driving 5 miles a day and you might avoid that one...if it's not too late.
