Bought new turbo - what to expect?

While I have the TY apart for new paint, I found it to be a good time for some much needed upgrades.

This is a list of the parts I just ordered from well known vendor. By the way are you guys normally able to negotiate some kind of discount when making a larger order?

RMP stg 1 turbo
RMP Air to Air intercooler + fan spacer kit
Ultimate custom chip
3 bar map sensor
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
#50 Injectors
Cold air kit
Tune up kit
Thermostat 160deg

Also ordered 12 inch high perf. brake kit, front and rear sway bar.

As this being a daily driver, so not trying to maximize power and performance, what can I expect in terms of power and performance with these upgrades?

Engine was fully rebuild 25K miles ago and the rest of the truck is in good mechanical condition.

Thanks
Anders

Whoa... You live in Denmark too. Shippings not gonna be cheap either. Sorry, I dont know if there is a discount, I've never ordered $4500 worth of parts. Seems only fair you should get some stickers or something though. lol.

i would think you could see 400hp with it properly tuned and without knock.

I just dropped $4.5k between rpm, detroit turbo, cbr. I aggree with Q.S. About 400hp properly tunned. You might want to ad alky to the list and front propshaft. What sucked is I dropped 2k at RPM then had to pay shipping and CA tax.

Just about everything but a turbo. LOL
L35 heads
RPM a2a
gilbert shaft
CBR brake kit
Razor alky
Goodmark 2" cowl hood
I found out I only have a 2300 stall. I thought it was a 2800. I will wait on the 2800 and pte52 and DP for a while. My truck feels good now. I just want to lose the water setup and lower my IC temps. My temps go up 60+* on a 1/4 mile run. Just looking for a good solid running truck right now.

My wife is going to kill me when she finds out. I will be doing everything but the head work. If I can find it cheap enough I will go with a bigger turbo.I am guessing about 1k labor?? My uncle will paint the hood. I just have to buy the paint.

Re: Bought new turbo - what to expect?

Now that you have seen the shopping list, is there anything I really have overlooked?

Still, keep in mind, this is the wifes daily driver :)

What kind of 1/4 times seems realistic, let´s say if the car produces 375 hp, with the car otherwise stock apart from the parts I have listed.? High 12´s - low 13´teens ?

Don't know nothing about the turbo so I'd say lower 12's

I do know that you should concider adding a trans cooler to your list to help the weak 700r trans live a little longer... also might want to check and see if a bigger torque converter is needed to get the most out of that turbo or not be for you start tuning.. i'd also add a wideband o2 to the list to help with the tuning etc.

Re: Bought new turbo - what to expect?

It really depends on the fuel octane, tune, and boost level you choose to run. The higher the fuel octane and the better the tune, the more boost you can run and that's where you get the power from.

Stock boost (15 PSI) low 13s high 12s. High boost (20 PSI+)... low 12s high 11s?

Stock TC should work well with the stage 1 turbo. I think it's equivilent to a 20g or maybe PTE44.
I have the stage 3 turbo w/2800 stall and I love it. You'll want to get the alky kit and maybe a 3" dp in the future.
