Re: Bowling Green, KY - Beech Bend Dragstrip

I am sure IF T-bone every takes his toy to the track before he moves on to something else, the man has some serious vehicle ADD, we will find out what it runs. it is a small world with the internet.

BTW I would bet Dobreak would be able to not only beat your time at the drags with the zo6, but would flat out imbarass your best on the twisties!!!!!

Re: Bowling Green, KY - Beech Bend Dragstrip

The only way this can possibly be settled is for T-Bone to get his car legal, and immediately take it to the track to prove to everyone that he can't run a perfect run that nets him a low 11 sec slip.

i bet it'll take some work to get your z06 rwd track skills fine tuned to where you can shave your times down so low. Does the car have the power? sure. Does it require really knowing the car? yes. Can you know the car in 500miles of driving/ownership? Maybe....prove us wrong!

I consider myself a decent driver, and even with my awd car i still have some big fluctuations in my passes. Typically a +/- .3 et. Adrenaline will own you the first few runs, especially if you're lined up against a syty. Sure you have experience at the track with other vehicles...but that doesn't mean everything.

Man, my power is out also and had to come down to the office to check out the forum. WOW, you guys need to line up real soon and get this taken care of :)

I didn't hurt anything just have low oil pressure so I am having it checked out. Once its fixed I am going to go back to BG and I will let you know when ( T-Bone) so we can see what your car runs and also what I can squeeze out of the truck. Can't wait.

I will let you guys know whats up when I find out here in the next few days.

If you meant "e"mbarass, I'll lay out $2,500 cash if he will match it (or you can front the money since you are so confident in his abilities) and I will prove my point at Deals Gap, NC (318 curves in 11 miles......I would consider that twisties; wouldn't you?). I haven't raced with the AMA and WERA circuits since 1999 but I still smoke guys around here when I am out in blue jeans and a jacket riding for fun. When I dawn my leathers, it's all business.

I'll be heading to Gatlinburg / Deals Gap next Thursday - Saturday (25-27th) so how much you wanna bet on Dobreak. I can definately make this happen without a doubt!!! Does he even have a bike?

You know what, you're right. I only show up because I want to play but can't afford it. God I wish I had some money so I could talk down to everyone else, and act like an ass. Man that would be great!

Nobody loves me...everybody hates me...!! Tell you what, PM me your address and I'll send you a pacifier.

You are quite thin skinned and take way too much personally. Take some time to go back and re-read this thread (specifically "your" contributions) because you, my man, talked down to me from the get go. Once that happens, all is fair and IF you aren't up to the game, don't throw the opening pitch. Sorry I hurt your feelings though. The way you bashed me for not showing up at the track, I thought you were one of the tough guys from that area and could take a little ribbing. Guess I mis-judged you...my bad!

Not dis-agreeing with that at all and aside from driver and car, the track and weather conditions have alot to do with good or bad run times. I am fairly certain with rear tire pressure at 28 psi and a 3,200 rpm launch, I will net at least a mid 11 second run...time will tell and it will be video'd.

Very clean QT50 you have there T-bone. I have 2 myself. If not for housing being so expensive in Ca. I would go and get myself a z06. I actually looking at purchasing a benz. Maybe an amg cl.

Thanks, Chelo. I haven't ridden it in a few years. GL in your search for the right car. I think I finally found mine but a word of advice; keep your biz on the down low. Jimmy let the cat outta the bag on me and once the forum members finds out you have something faster than their pride and joy that isn't a SyTy, they immediately transfer into hawk mode, most likely spawned by inferiority complex's :). Most on here do it for fun but you will encounter extreme jealousy by a few. That's just life I guess.

Strange... One example comes to mind that has had many nicer/faster cars than you and he doesnt seem to have your problem. Norm has a new Zo6, has had vipers, turbo'd/supercharged camaros, Syclones and so on. He has had most all at the same time lol. Anyway, using your logic, he would be a target, and yet he is not. Odd...

The term "You catch more flys with honey" comes to mind.

Norm has a new Zo6, has had vipers, turbo'd/supercharged camaros, Syclones and so on.

Norm is in Canada (if you are referring to the Norm I know) and there is no need to joust him if he isn't close enough to play so that is most likely why no-one adresses him. If you are talking about another Norm, he probably doesn't hang out on here much....what's his user name?

This board is to be informative and provide a venue to have fun interchanging with other members. Periodically, some surface that haven't grasped that point.

Calm down Joe, its all in good fun. I know nobody on this side of the TN state line (which you guys are somehow afraid to cross) are taking it personal.

Honestly this board can be a bit boring, trying to stir up some entertainment if nothing else.

Much better pic for the subject.
