Got my Ty, oh, about a month-and-a-half ago. I used to be able to get the red "BRAKE" warning light to come on by really pushing down on the pedal (like a heavily boosted launch)...
Well, I was driving around the other day, decided to do a mild launch. Not much pressure on the brake, but the light came on anyway. And stayed on. Initially I was worried I'd blown a brake line or something, but no fluid leaks or loss of brake pedal height was apparent. I can still stop just as good as ever.
Unless this proportioning valve block is different than others I have worked on, it turns the light on only when there's a pressure differential between the front and back. Which makes me wonder what's going on. As a pre-emptive measure, I bled all four brakes over the weekend. No difference. Pedal is still good, brakes are still good (minus anti-lock, of course)...
So my question is...where do I go now? Can I assume there is something messed up in the master cylinder? I mean, all four bleeders bled good, there wasn't any one less than another. The pedal feel and stopping is great...maybe just a sticky switch? Thanks for all of your help!
