I thought I have to cut the spindle ears or something and get a bracket
About the Price, C6s sound awesome but C5s would be cheaper I'm guessing?
Does anyone have corvette rears?
I'm hoping to set the blazer up with C5s all around since I have the wheels to match.
I'll probably give CBR a call tomorrow.
supersports10 said:yup bolt right on. swap the complete spindle over to the 98 and newer 4x4, and you have dual piston calipers and 11" rotors. and they fit under the stock wheels.

Spend the cash on an aluminum dual caliper. Funny cause the rear factory calipers are aluminum?? -go figure??

I am confused. I just want to run C5 brakes, do I need a bracket kit from CBR? OR can I use a different 2WD style spindle that works with C5 brakes?

Oh the reason I am confused is I already have a 98 4X4 S10 Blazer, lol I dont have a Sy/Ty.supersports10 said:ok.... to use the c5 brakes you need to modify the original spindle and get the cbr brackets.
if you want the dual piston calipers from the 98 and newer 4x4 s10 trucks, and blazers, then they are a direct bolt on spindle you can get them fron s10wharehouse on ebay for between 155-255 depending on miles on the donor truck.
2WD style spindle does not currently work with the c5 brakes.
That sounds like EXACTLY what I have been looking for. If I could get tube arms and that kind of spindle on there I bet front weight reduction including coilovers would be over 150lbsSyclone#892 said:Tobin from www.kore3.com mentioned to me that a company called afx make spindles for 2wd that use c5 vette sealed hub bearings so you can put any vette from brake setup on that you want. They are very nice pieces but pricey, 1k ish
Ah, what if I switched them on the sides? i think I remember hearing the steering knuckle is in the rear of the 2wd spindle for this?supersports10 said:let me clue you in on the differences between 2wd and 4wd spindles, and a arms,.....main difference 4wd puts the lower a arm ABOVE the lower spindle mount, with the ball joint facing down,
2wd puts the lower a arm BELOW the lower spindle mount, with the ball joint facing UP.
