Broken into last night

Sorry guys, just have to vent. :rant:

The Syclone got broken into last night in my apartments under-ground parking garage.

"Luckily" the battery was dead so their attempt to hot wire it failed miserably. And with the battery having been relocated to under the bed, I think it confused them enough not to try to jump start it. Shitty part is they f*cked up the drivers side door lock and destroyed the steering column. And like I said they tried hot-wiring it so there are wires hanging from under the dash. :rant:

Before anyone asks, I do have a really good alarm on it but with the battery dead, it was also dead. I'm sure my insurance will cover everything other than my dad's jack and jack stands that I had in the bed (under the tonneau). I still have to talk to the insurance company to figure it all out and see what my deductable will be on this.

Anyway, I guess I'm lucky I still have a Syclone in my garage but still sucks. I have to take another good look at it tonight after work and make sure there's nothing else wrong. Unfortunatly with the battery dead and limited lighting in the underground, I couldnt get a good look around inside. I'll have to grab a flashlight when I go down there after work.

that pisses me off.....bunch of ****ers should get a damn job..and learn to pay for their own stuf..

Ya I'm not sure if they were specifically looking for my truck being a Syclone, h*ll they probably didnt even know what it was other than it looks like a nice truck. They ended up stealing a Civic and breaking into a number of other vehicles. They got a stereo from one of my neighbors (stupid part was they left the paper that had the unlock codes for his stereo on the front seat of his car :roll: ) It's probably just some crack-addict that needed a few bucks for his next hit.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I mean I cant falt a guy for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family but to steal a stereo or break into a car for change to feed his own crack-habit, those theives should no longer have the use of their hands, as extreme as that is.

That sucks. The truck I am buying has a nice radio but I am scared it will attract theves. People tend to leave the stock delco radios alone. I have to find a ty cd radio. I will be putting a paging viper alarm and lojack with early warning sytems on my sy asap. Usualy it cost more to fix everything they break then what they took.

whats the most *ucked thing is, if you catch em...you cant do nothing about it!!!!!!i caught a kid a few years back breaking into my car, got him, punched him, cops came he got a ticket to appear in court, a few months later i got summons to small claims cause his parents took him to the doctors for a busted lip and a few stiches..........the cops didnt considere the spark plug he use to break my window as a weapon......................i paid the 500 bucks.....shit sucks...........if you report it to youre insurance claims go up, best thing to do is never let youre cars in the sight of people......i keep my altima and my syclone in my back yard.....


but atleast they didnt steal youre syclone...

Someone broke into my car the other day and stole a big ass box of toys that I was getting ready to take to Toys For Tots. I could care less about the window (thats what I pay insurance for). But the fact that they took over $300 worth of toys, granted, they were only $1-$2 per toy, but they took away from some poor unfortunate kids Christmas.

They really should do that! I am not sure what country it is in but I heard that if someone is cought stealing they cut their hand off( not sure if this is bullsh*t or not, can't believe everything you hear), but I bet there would be alot less crime if this was an actual punishment.

Sorry to hear about your truck, at least they didn't get it but hopefully no more damage that you are unaware of occured. :rant: <===haha I like this guy too...

Unfortuneately one of our friends used to steal cars for a thrill, but after spending some time in Oshkosh Correctional and re-entering the world with no money and everyones back turned on him straightened him out. From what Ive heard, having spoken to people from Egypt (one spoke english), some communities will actually amputate a thiefs hand as an example.

Sorry, but this stuff drives me nuts. From breaking into our trucks to taking Christmas gifts. Maybe instead of the hand we cut off one finger at a time. Without pain killers.
I've been lucky the last few years although my Stars & Stripes seems to have disappeared from the front of the house??? Can't figure that one at all, it wasn't even new.

We have alarms on every car we have, but it wont stop a REAL car thief.
Thankfully it deters the dumass kids and crackheads.

My xmas gift to myself is gonna be a Glock 23 .40 cal and my CCW permit. :tup:

Michael Moore made Canada seem like a utopia! Where nobody steals from anyone, no one has guns, you can leave your front door unlocked, and everything is just way better than america. I feel so used and lied to :lol:

hmmm maybe i'll have make a movie called "bowling for Abbotsford" and i'll interview you and show footage of your truck post-break in. Then i'll interview some random people, edit all the footage and make Canada seem really bad and corrupt. All while narrarating about how great America is.

First i need to put on a few hundred pounds, look like i just rolled out of bed, and go get some clothes from Wal-Mart.

anyway if you've got an ultimate i guess ya better start setting that thing to the security setting, and think about a secondary ECU kill switch... so if they were to get the battery going and learned how to hot wire, they still couldnt start the truck.

Between my battery being dead 90% of the time and a couple other security features, the only way a thief is getting my truck is with a flat bed tow truck.

I never really post on here but after reading this thread i feel like ranting too. The other night I came home and saw that my sister's car trunk was fully open and then I look in the car and see that the stereo is gone. I wake up my sister and we go back to the car and nothing else is taken except her old stereo. About 1 hour and 15 minutes later I hear a car outside, it had a loud exhaust which I could clearly hear from my room. I go downstairs and I see someone in my sister's car looking around with a flashlight. I open the front door and yell and this guy runs back in the other car and they all drive off, 3 of them, and we all make eye contact. I was so f***ing mad. Why would they come back twice? On my way home last night I saw their car drive past me, they turned and it was too late for me to follow them. I am going to find that car and smash their windows.
