Bubbles in fuel rail

I've tries searching, but i didn't get any luck

My ty started out with the occational missing out while on the hwy. I then got worse and just died. I pulled ove and tried to start it, it kinda tried but didn't. I ended up testing the fuel rail bleeder/valve stem thing and a bunch of air came out. I slowly let it out till fuel shot out, waited a few and repeated(for about 10-15 minutes). then after all that air was out of the line, she started right up but ended up "missing" again about 20 miles later. I've noticed that it misses a few seconds after a bump, if that helps any.

I let it sit for about 5 hrs and there was still pressure in the line, so i know there isn't a leak.

Its got a wallbro 255 that was put in feb 08 with braided lines up to the transfer case for now.

Since this started, i replaced the distributer and put in an APFR.

Im not sure what to look for now... any ideas?

Re: Bubbles in fuel rail

Sounds like you're somehow sucking air between the pickup in the fuel tank and the pump. One way to test it would be to fill the tank completely and see if it goes away. But, it sounds like you'll be pulling the tank, so keeping it as empty as possible is probably a good idea till you get it fixed.

Re: Bubbles in fuel rail

thats what i was thinking, i tried sucking out as much gas as i could and filled it up with new gas, just to see if it was bad gas (it was sitting for 3 month prior) it went away for maybe 10-20 miles, then did again...

could the fuell be foaming up in the tank?
