Way back in 2006 my smog testing technician said that I needed to replace the Cat because it was failing. I kept putting it off until this year because I plan on doing some work on it. Well after getting jack up with a spinal injury in the neck that left me unable to do much of anything last year for more then 6 months except buying parts.
I started doing work on the truck in Dec and moving at a snail pace do to pain in the neck. I finish with phase 1 on Feb 9th. During this time I installed the coated exhaust manifolds and crossover. Installed my turbo that I had rebuilt for a cost of $350.00 with a 54 trim compressor wheel. Cut apart and fix my new 3" downpipe on both the top section and the bottom section because it was all screw up. I then installed my new catalytic converter and reinstalled the tail pipe without a muffler. The truck now has a 3" turbo back system on it. Anyway the end results, comparing the year 2008 to 2010 here are the numbers with a 160* stat, fuel press set at 50lbs with the chip on T1-15.
